As the only state-level high-tech zone in the Hainan Free Trade Port, the Haikou National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone has expanded its businesses from solely focusing on the high-tech industry to covering tourism, the modern service industry, the high-tech industry and other sectors. In Mei'an Sci-Tech New Town, Hainan Huayan Collagen Technology Company has invested 80 million yuan in the second phase of the OEM project. Centering on the downstream industry chain of fish collagen peptide, the project focuses on the processing of incoming materials in the food industry. It is expected to be completed in November this year. By then, three newly-added production lines will help increase the production capacity from 1,500 tons per year to 4,500 tons per year.

Recently, four projects of the Haikou National High-Tech Zone were included in the third batch of Haikou’s key projects in 2022, covering the Internet of Things, biomedicine, public service platform and other fields. 106 enterprises and 139 projects are equipped with 56 secretaries, providing enterprises with high quality one-stop services.

The National High-Tech Zone spares no effort to achieve its 2025 goals: a total industrial output value of over 70 billion yuan, operating revenue of more than 100 billion yuan, tax revenue of 8 billion yuan, and the number of high-tech enterprises exceeding 400.
