The official website of the China National Intellectual Property Administration recently issued a notice that Haikou and 71 others were selected as pilot cities of China for developing more and stronger intellectual property rights during July 2022 to June 2025. After the announcement, Haikou vowed to enhance its intellectual property governance capabilities and efficiency, and drive the high-quality development of intellectual property rights.

Sanya Insures Against Plant Variety Rights Infringement Loss, 1st in China

With the assistance of Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City Administration, China National Seed Group signed a contract with the Hainan Branch of PICC Property & Casualty Company for insuring the Group’s "Chuanzhong 3A", "Quenyou 607" and "Zhongzhong R1607" against infringement of their new plant variety rights, which is the first such exclusive insurance in China.
